Great product

I’m Not exactly sure how anyone could break this item by crushing ice….I have been using my new ice crusher fairly moderately and have had no problems.I was a bit disappointed to find that the housing is made of plastic, as the description does not say otherwise, and the picture conveniently looks like it could be made from some type of polished metal. The unit is a bit difficult to anchor down while using, and you must crank the handle around quickly to keep it going, so it doesn’t get stuck on the ice. Overall, I am very please with this product.

Flimsy, insubstantial and short-lived

I blame myself. I should have known that an acrylic plastic ice crusher was made to be seen, not used. This is the same sort of plastic used in CD cases, weak and brittle. The crusher handled the first two trays of ice without incident. While crushing the third tray, two of the teeth that the crushed ice falls through broke, making the thing useless. If you want an unusual conversation starter, this is it. If, however, you need a small appliance to crush ice, you need to keep looking. This ain’t it! I give it one star, which is one too many.

poor materials used for an ice crusher…

I bought this ice crusher because i have a brother i am taking care of who has throat cancer. He wanted ice to suck on. i bought this that i THOUGHT would do the trick. I have used it about 10 times. When to use it again today and it broke. the plastic that the blades go through broke out so the cubes just fell through into the bottom. I have been trying to find replacement parts to no avail. could not find any other way to contact the maker or this either so i have come here hoping i will get a reply. to say the least. i am not happy at all with this product or the company it came from.
